Anima RPG - Journey into the End
Story of the World
The world fell into a great war between humans and the monsters. The humans had no advantage and had no hope to win; the armies would clash each day with the human army sustaining great casualties and the monsters taking very few. The King of Monsters, named Thetalius, went to Patoria, the capitol of the humans, to ask the humans to surrender or be destroyed by his waiting army. Doudus, the human king, made plans before Thetalius arrived to destroy him, He planned to bind Thetalius into a great stone of Diamond. When Thetalius made his ultimatum, Doudus refused to surrender and told his mages to start the ritual. Thetalius heard the ritual and quickly destroyed the diamond that was supposed to seal him. Doudus tried to attack the Thetalius while he was destroying the diamond but he failed and suffered a fatal blow. Doudus, with his last breath told his mages to bind The King of Monsters into his body. They obeyed but it took their lives to seal Thetalius. Thetalius was violently absorbed into Doudus but was able to keep his skills. Doudus’s body was severely injured from his previous wounds and now the binding to his body; Thetalius quickly froze the body with a lock that only someone strong enough to break the binding can open. With the loss of Thetalius and the need to avenge the loss of their own king, the humans gained and edge. Gage, the military leader of the humans, used this to his advantage. He also quickly sought out a way to eliminate the monsters. He sought out Koda the Arcane Master and loner mage. Koda knew only a way seal the monsters in an arcane location. Koda told Gage that he could seal the monsters in the capitol area. Gage saw no other way so he ordered an evacuation of the capitol and pushed the monsters back toward the capitol. Koda then started the ritual. The monsters saw this and panicked. They pushed back against the onslaught of human forces and a few escaped. Koda finished the ritual and was sealed inside the city, in a final attempt to make sure the barrier would not be broken.
The humans had a few years of peace until human nature took over and they were at war again. The single banner, which humans had gathered under, splintered into 6 nations. The nations were at war and forgot all about the previous disaster that their unity had solved. In the end one nation prevailed and concord all the others.
In recent years the barrier has weakened and let through lesser creatures. The legend of the treasure held by the old nation has spread once again and many who hope for better things flock to the openings of the subterranean city.
